We are Heather and Greg Burke. Heather is a Travel Writer and Greg is a Photographer. We have traveled the world, and we spent 2 years searching for that perfect southern town to relocate to. When we first drove into St Augustine in August 2020, we instantly knew we had found that ideal place. Just across the Bridge of Lions, directly on “Salt Run” we found 103 Inlet Drive and knew we could make this our home. We also knew this waterfront home deserved some big home was ready for some TLC, modernization and updating.
Having done several rebuilds and redesigns in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, including having our home designs featured on the cover of Maine Home and Design, we instantly set about bringing this St Augustine home up to today’s modern standards, to match its fabulous waterfront setting, we are designing the home to be what discerning visitors and vacationers desire.
Custom renovation includes: A complete gourmet kitchen redo, plus open-concept living room to maximize the spectacular water views.3 new bathroom with high end tile, 100% new hurricane proof doors and windows, 100% new flooring, 2 new wet bars, new interior doors, new railings and new trim throughout …basically we will have a new home for 2021! New covered patio with gourmet kitchen and all new appliances. Two Bars – one upstairs and one downstairs. Laundry room with sink. Free WiFi with 4 routers to cover every inch of the house. 70 Inch TV Entertainment Center. 50 Inch TV in Living Room. Gas Fireplace. 43 Inch TV in one Bedroom. Whole House Sonos Sound System with 11 Speakers. Hi Thread Count Sheets, Linens and Towels. Plus of course a water softener and whole house back-up generator.
This is our primary residence, so we ask that you please treat it as if it was yours for your stay. We hope you will treat it as much more than just another “beach rental” as we have lovingly seen to every detail. We hope you will read and respect all of our house policies and procedures to protect our home and maximize your safe enjoyment. When you are visiting our house, we will be off exploring the world and writing about our adventures.
As the owners and authors of Family Ski Trips you can imagine we are big skiers. Hence our house is available for rentals most of January, February and March. And in the summer (June to Sept) we like to explore and feature destinations for our other web site The Luxury Vacation Guide.
